Here's something to do for a break or twelve at work. Try your hand at guessing the 100 most common English words. And when your time is up, don't go looking at the red words that you didn't guess because then it's no fun to do the quiz over and over again. I've done it several times and get different results every time, and I know I forget ones I've already guessed in prior attempts. Maybe I'm just a sucker for punishment. Give it a shot and let me know how you fare. I think my highest so far is only 54, but I've probably guessed five or ten more than that in total.

EDIT: Turns out there are lots of other quizzes at that same site. I just did the one where you have ten minutes to get as many Scrabble-allowed words out of the word TRAVELS. I got 113/203. Whew! Gonna have to check out some more tonight.

I'm procrastinating about doing some more of my online CE courses, so naturally, I'm just playing around on the rest of this here internet. This is kinda fun. I remember coming across it many months ago and then sort of forgot about it. Finding it again, I see that I have 21 out of 50 but I think I'll start over since I don't remember any of what I got before and it doesn't seem to want to tell me. One caution: the music loop might get on your nerves and I don't see an option to turn it off. Yes, I know, I will turn my speakers off. I just thought I'd save you trying to figure it out, okay, smartass? Anyway, give it a try and tell me how you do. You guys are bigger movie buffs than I am, so you're bound to do better.

So a couple of days ago, I got a comment on my voodoo meez from fellow voxie Tim Johnson. He had been doing searches for "voodoo" and came across my meez. He left a link to a new game/animation that he and a friend have been working on. I've played with it a bit and have fun whiling away some time. Hell, I even got DB interested in it. So, even though I know we all hate anything that uses up or wastes our precious time when there are things like work and chores to be done, if you can scrape a minute or two together, please do head on over and give it a try. And leave a comment, too, so they'll make more!
